Abstract: Cancer is a significant problem in modern medicine, also is the most common cause of death after cardiovascular diseases, and in need of targeted drug release. Although, chemotherapy is an important candidate in cancer treatment, but it has many side effects on healthy tissues of the body, including the liver and kidneys, that it is difficult to use. Therefore, changes in drug formulation, or elimination of harmful factors from the main body of active ingredient of the drug, or use of plants that have medicinal properties, can be important and significant to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. Also, Nano technology is the newest trend in cancer treatment that is used for specific function, by the least side effects and damage to normal cells. Nano carriers prevent the decomposition of drugs or biologically active substances, also help to reaching target cells. In this study, we examine the pharmacological properties of pegylated Nano-niosomal gingerol. Gingerol is the effective ingredient is ginger. Noisome were prepared using reverse phase evaporation method, which contains specific proportion of cholesterol, span60 and polyethylene glycol. Then, we pegylated the prepared formulation using PEG6600. We investigated the amount of release and encapsulation of the drug. After that, we tested the percentage of remains of cancer cells treated with pegylated niosomal gingerol and free gingerol on the cell line T47D. The results of IC50, for MTT test, in pegylated niosomal gingerol and free gingerol, suggests reducing the effective concentration in pegylated niosomal gingerol compared with free gingerol.
