دوازدهمين كنگره بين المللي سرطان پستان

4 الي 6 اسفند 1395، تهران - ايران

Presentation Type: Speech
Abstract: Description: Originally, a negative sentinel node biopsy (SNB) was intended to identify those patients for whom axillary lymph node dissection could be omitted. Increasingly, dissection is also omitted for SNB-positive breast cancer. The presenter will review appropriate selection of patients for SNB, processing and reporting of SNB results, the implications of a positive SNB, and evidence favoring the omission of completion axillary dissection in select patients.
