Abstract: Background: The aim of this study was “A Study of Health Literacy, the genital tract and breasts Level of the First 14-16 Year Girls Grade High School Students in the Eghlid City in Years 91-92’’. Health literacy refers to the ability of the community to understand and apply health -related information and instructions from the health has services provided the general public. The fact of the health adolescent girls, the adolescent girls are tomorrow's mothers , addressing health issues for families, communities and future generations is also useful.
Methods: This study is quantitative - descriptive those occur on 186 and Stratified random sampling was performed. In order to access information from a two-part questionnaire (A - health literacy, reading comprehension, b – performance and computing) related to the genital tract and breasts, the validity, and reliability of the questionnaire using coefficient Cronbach alpha and ending coefficient (r=0.81) and analysis the data by SPSS software (V. 18).
Results: Mean age, weight, height, body mass index standard deviation of students participating in the study, was respectively (15.31±0.63, 51.60± 9.15), (162.21± 7.48), (19.59± 3.11). Also the mean age at of breast growth (11/67) years and adequate health literacy reading and comprehension performance measures at the borderline.
Conclusion: In this study, the health literacy level about the genital tract and breasts among adolescent girls in Eghlid city was assessment adequate, and significant correlation (05/0 = P) between reading comprehension and performance calculations there. So by increasing the reading comprehension performance of students and their calculations on the genital tract and breasts health increases.
