Presentation Type: Speech

Coronary artery disease, which is the most leading cause of mortality and morbidity in western countries. Angiography is an invasive procedure associated with risks and complication, is the gold standard for diagnosis and treatment of CAD. In addition around 20% to 40% angiography was performed for diagnostic purpose solely. Investigation of less invasive imaging modalities is important for reducing the use of invasive coronary angiography in this regard. PET/CT with rest-stress myocardial perfusion is regarded as an exact imaging modality for the diagnosis and managing patients with CAD. Comparing the cost of PET/CT with other noninvasive imaging modalities, its availability remains limited. In this presentation, the audience will be aware of the most appropriate impression of PET/CT in each clinical condition in patient with cardiovascular disease.
