Halitosis is seen in different people. Mostly it is caused by dental-oral etiology but some other systemic diseases such as gastrointestinal, lung, kidney and maxilofacial sinus diseases may be the causative factor. In this prospective study the prevalence of halitosis between 50 patients with gastrointestinal diseases (GID) and 20 persons as control group (CG) was compared.
